The Best Garbage Truck Toys of 2020

garbage truck toys

When my son was around 18 months old, our friend saw him in his garbage truck pajamas and smiled and said, “garbage truck, huh, that’s random.” I would have thought the same thing before I had a child who was absolutely mesmerized by garbage trucks. I’ve spoken to other moms about just how exciting the garbage truck is in their lives– their children know which day is garbage day and excitedly wait to see the garbage truck go past. It’s an exciting weekly event for many kids. If you know a child who is also fascinated by garbage trucks, check out these garbage truck toys.

My husband loves cars. When my son was less than one-year old, he started talking a lot about trucks. Everyone assumed that it was because my husband loves cars– but I know the real reason.

When Eddie was 9 or 10 months old, we were talking outside out apartment and the garbage truck drove by. The driver waved and honked the horn, and my son’s eyes lit up. He’s been talking about cars non-stop every since.

So, cheers, to our children and the wonderful gift we get of watching their interests set on fire.
